Happy Dumpsters and Cat Naps

Online again, wonderful! Camden UMC showed so much enthusiasm in offering our group hospitality. A couple of them even sang for us. It was very sweet.

Now, we're in Edwardsburg, Michigan. I was a sweep rider (along with Jon) so that meant we were the "caboose" of today's ride. We went from Camden to here (both towns in Michigan) via Indiana. You may notice I don't have any state sign photos here, and that's because there weren't any =/. But there WAS a clear indication of where the state line was from the quality of the roads. Michigan's roads are just in total disrepair, while Indiana's were significantly smoother.

This here's a group picture of us right before we set off on our ride. The pastor and a parishioner joined us for the morning ride. The church was so sweet to us and took some pictures, which should be found on their website soon. (We weren't really ready when this particular one was taken, and there are better versions.)

I didn't take many pictures today, but we did pass through some beautiful Amish areas. We saw some horse/buggy's and lambs and goats and cows and all kinds of cool stuff. We even saw a robot mailbox! And we saw these happy dumpsters. Look how happy they are!

During the ride, we took a break on a small plot next to the route. I tried smiling for the picture, but I was just exhausted...

..but then I saw Jon taking a quick nap.

The church we're staying at today is the Hope United Methodist Church. They have already served us a wonderful taco dinner this evening, and they'll be hosting us for tomorrow night as well (as tomorrow is a build day).

I've mentioned that tomorrow, we are building with the local Habitat chapter. I'm not sure what we're doing, but I'm hoping there'll be more pictures then.
